Our Michigan “Up North” Experience

Walks along sand beaches and forest paths, dune climbs, wildlife, exploration and star-filled nights. Hiking, skiing, swimming.  Exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Or, just resting at the cottage by our own Little Long Lake. All this and much more. And, even when the weather is not favorable, our cottage, with its comfort, fireplace and window views of Long Lake, is more than enough. Within its walls, songs have been written, music played, poetry created, a play written. A few artists have left small paintings as gifts. It is a place to relax, breathe, play, and restore your soul. The cottage is filled with the loving “vibes” of the individuals, couples, families, artists, and musicians who have found peace, connection and enjoyment here. Maybe we will live up here someday. How to Find Us

Ursa Minor is located in NW Lower Michigan, within the Sleeping Bear
National Lakeshore
Southeast of Traverse City
10 miles N. of Frankfort

Directions from the Southeast :
At the intersection of 115 and  US 31, go N. (turn right) on US 31
after the town of Beulah, turn left on N. Crystal Lake Dr.
At the end, turn right (N.) on Route M-22
Take M-22 3 miles to Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore and Long Lake.

Directions from Traverse City or North:
Take M-72 West from Traverse City
Left (S.) at M-22
13 miles to Long Lake.
